As the council meeting concluded, the gods did as they usually did; they drifted together in their cliques and socialized. They were family, and they could often go incredibly long periods between seeing one another as their interests spanned the entire world, so many sought to fill up on their social needs during these momentous council sessions, especially one that had the full Twelve and a significant portion of the Natural Order in attendance. It was even more monumental, considering it had been put together on short notice—with three recently injured members, no less. Usually, most council meetings had between seven and nine members. While for matters of absolute importance, where there was no sense of urgency, a full council was preferred to conduct a session, but for most matters of less importance or where time was of the essence, a majority of seven, with at least one monarch; or a council of nine with no monarch, was all that was necessary.
